International Women's Day at the Panjabi Centre and Desi Radio International Women's Day at the Panjabi Centre in Southall and its community station Desi Radio. Rashmi Meswani talked to Amarjit Khera about the celebrations and events for International Women's Day and during the month of March. She began by asking her how the radio station gets involved.

What do women do when they are faced with demands both from outside the home and from within their family? Manjit Kaur Sahi is a student on a radio training course at Desi Radio. For International Women's Day she asked some Panjabi women what they would do if their husband faced them with the choice - would they stop, and perhaps be late for work, if he suddenly asked them to make some food for him?

Niru Desai interviewed by Rahsmi Meswani Niru Desai is President of Harrow Women's Association.  A writer, poet, storyteller, educationist and community worker, she has a lot of passion for women’s issues. Rashmi Meswani met her - she began by asking her what inspired her to take up community service.
