AND REMINISCENCES FROM WORLD WAR II
The CD
This original CD includes writings and reminiscences from women who took
part in war work, looked after their homes and families, or were growing
up during World War II. Topics include:
- working as a 'radar girl',
- looking after children and helping the Red Cross,
- being evacuated as a child,
- conflict between home and official duties (in the WRENS),
- working in factories and offices in London,
- the Bethnal Green tube station disaster,
- entertaining the troops
and much more.
